Team Wombat (named after the slow moving, half witted and half blind Australian mammal) consists of Laurence Jitts, a Boston MA based management consultant and expatriate Australian, and his brother Stephen, a Canberra Australia based, Audiologist. Both are certified car nuts and between them they own 7 Porsches ranging from a '56 356 through to an '04 GT3 along with representative examples from each decade in between. This will be their first road rally together and the intention is that Laurence will handle the driving duties and his brother will navigate. Their respective wives Amy and Karina will be joining as support crew in the (wouldn't you know it) Porsche Cayenne. Laurence's driving experience includes several hundred track days with the local Northeast region of the PCA of which he is the Track Chair. He also instructs with many regions of the PCA and is nationally certified. This year he also intends to drive in the Bertil Roos Race series piloting a Formula 2000 open wheeler and if time permits will run a selection of PCA club races in his GT3.
