After growing up around motorcycle road racing, Peter started tuning cars in 1998 and racing in 2001. Peter has competed in the Open Track Challenge, SCCA ProSolo, BMWCCA and NASA Endurance events. Peter Guagenti navigated Bill Arnold to his first overall victory in the 2003 Targa Newfoundland, before switching cars to support Scott Smith (his friend and endurance racing partner) in 2004 and 2005. Guagenti returns to Targa Newfoundland as a driver for the first time in 2007, behind the wheel of the WORKS / Evolved Performance Mitsubishi Evolution IX RS.Scott Smith, Co-Driver
Known as one of the fastest drivers in Northern California amateur racing, Scott has competed in the Open Track Challenge, BMWCCA, and NASA Endurance events. Scott holds records at many California race tracks, numerous class wins, a BMWCCA national championship, and a class win at the 12 Hours of Thunderhill. Showing his speed, Scott ran at the front of his division in both the 2004 and 2005 Targa Newfoundland, but a crash and a mechanical failure (respectively) knocked him out of contention both years.
